We have been staying in the area for a few days and just discovered this bar and restaurant, which is literally just around the corner. We parked at the back. We had no reservation and were surprised to see how busy it was! They advised us it would be 30 minutes wait- no problem. Nice selection of beers on tap and a good kids menu also. The menu nearly had too much choice. The food is all homemade, delicious and decent portions. My daughter had a proper ham sandwich- none of your plastic stuff! Staff were helpful. Very reasonable compared to the fast food outlets nearby. Would definitely come back if in the area again. Really nice atmosphere here too. Highly recommend.
The blacksmiths Arms in huntington is a lovely traditional village pub. There is a good selection of beers and lagers including a good choice of four hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The pub has a good reputation for its meals although we only called in for a drink. Lovely friendly welcoming staff, a nice cosy pub. Highly recommended. Parking: Plenty of free on street parking. Wow, wow wow. We’re visiting York and checked Google reviews because we fancied a carvery. This place was just amazing. Really friendly staff and oh my God, the food was everything you could ever want on a plate! This is a pub with a great family run feel, food homemade and staff helpful. Decor is a bit dated, but it adds to the charm. it's like pubs used to be. Local pub with friendly locals. Went here for an evening meal but seriously disappointed. Clearly a locals pub, it was obvious we didn’t fit in. The restaurant was smelly (food smelly, not “off” smelly) and very plain, no attempt at decor or styling. We left before finishing our drinks or ordering. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

3rd time now staff have been rude paid 7 25 for aprol spritz was warm and flat served with lemon I said its nent to b served cold with segments of orange I was told suck it up and see well really I see why the pub is so quiet
