Then, I requested that the protein in my dish be swapped (no beef or chicken, so I asked for shrimp). I recently dined at the newly opened Blackwall Barn and Lodge at Merriweather on a Wednesday when they had a half-off pasta special. I opted for the Chesapeake pasta, featuring Pan Seared jumbo Shrimp, Jumbo Lump Crab (although not as jumbo as expected), Asparagus, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, and Lobster Cream Sauce. I had a wonderful dining experience with excellent service, and the food was quite good. We ordered a variety of dishes, and while some were exceptional, others didn't quite hit the mark. My main complaint was the noise level; there was a piano player that evening, and it was too loud for the number of guests in the restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner experience.

The brunch food was great. Overall we didn’t know who our waiter was because we had 3 different people at our table. Wasn’t coming to check on our table unless we got up to ask someone.
What a stunning venue! The service was excellent, and the food and drinks were delightful. This would be a fantastic location for an event, even a wedding. It's just so beautiful!

Excellent meal. Need to start coming here during non “rush hour” days and times. I believe the dining experience would be much quieter and laid back.
Great brunch! If you are not a big eater it's not really worth the price. Ambiance and service is great! Going to try dinner next time.
