My partner and I visited the Blue Door Bistro on Sunday (01.07) and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I had the smoked salmon frittata while she had the classic eggs benedict. Both dishes were great and the homefries were quite tasty. They do also have an appealing gourmet breakfast menu but that ends at either 10:30 or 11:30 so be mindful of that when going. We went around 1 and it was just under half full. The decor isn't overkill and the seating is appropriate for the size of the building. Would definitely return for a brunch when not wanting to feel rushed like some other breakfast places in town.
We were happy to win the Valentine's Day competition from The Blue Door Bistro! We decided to take our toddler with us so that we can all enjoy a great meal. The 4 courses we enjoy were nicely plated and delicious! In the midst of our 5th course, our little guy did not feel good and Craig and Hollie were so professional, empathic and fast to go to us the last of our 6 courses. I cannot even begin to describe the quality of food and art in preparation. What a great experience we will definitely be back!
I recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks. A real hidden jewel in Thunder Bay. Your food, service and small house style restaurant is absolutely the best in this city. The eggs Benedict is a favorite, actually ALL of their breakfast is excellent. We long for her food and love the kindness that comes from the owners.
Had an amazing omelette in the Blue Door Bistro. Unforgettable. My partner had Benedikt the eggs he said he was stellar. The owners come and chat with you and make sure you enjoy your meal. Great customer service. Parking can be a bit challenging if you don't want me to park the nearby parade. Child-friendly.
