I was sorry to read the experience of member amypW4883DB and her party, as for my wife me our visit for brunch on a Saturday late morning in early May was well worthy of our 5 Circle rating. COVID regulations in St. Louis County have been relaxed significantly since January 2022, but Blue Duck has retained the routine of ordering at the check-in desk finding a table (indoors in the dining spaces and bar area or outdoors on the small patio) waiting for your drinks and food to be delivered to your seating choice (with a tabletop number tent directing the servers to you). The young lady at the front desk was very cordial helpful in the ordering process, and she was able to direct guests to open...
The Blue Duck has been a favorite of ours for a couple years now. However, the past few experiences have left a lot to be desired. Ordering at the front before getting a table is awkward for guest. (Especially, if you’re waiting on friends) At the table, the service is meh. Glasses were frequently left empty. Not sure if this is due to a lack of a designated server or what. As for the food, quality is hit or miss. The burnt ends had decent flavor but we’re chewy and over cooked. To cut the meat, a saw would have been more appropriate than a butter knife. On the contrary, my burger was excellent. (the only item worth a star in this review) My wife’s $14 entree salad lacked any sort of sustena...
amazing eating in a great location! maplewood is full of shops, so this restaurant is a convenient stop when shopping. I have the sam elliot burger and it is definitiw delivered! my man has a biscuit disease so good that he eats every bite. I don't know which magie they have added to make their lists so delicious, but I recommend getting them with one side of the cheese sauce. I look forward to my next visit and enjoy her brunch and try the desserts. I would pay out for the visit about $20/person and a bonus, they will take the tassen with you!
Tou order when you walk in and then they seat you. There was a long wait for the food to come out. The homemade ketchup wasn't that great and had a strange onion taste. The chips were overly salted, we had to brush the salt off. You could see the piles of salt on the chips. The kids' burger and fries were good though and had great flavor. (I ate from my daughter's plate as she doesn't finish her food Overall the vibe was pretty good. Book a table now
eating here was amazing. everything is home to ketchup. they will not be disappointed with the brunch or dinner menu options. we had black cheese, the most amazing maisbrot with apple butter, fried rice and a chicken club. the bill was about $65 between us both and worth every penny! great size shares, the staff is great.
Tasty! I've never really had duck before, but the DLT sandwich was delicious, although a little messy. Their cocktails are yummy I had the Manhattan with duck fat rye whiskey.Went back for another visit, had the kale salad with shrimp. Yum!!A great brunch place mimosa pitchers anyone?
I enjoyed eating here and my drink was good too. I sat at the bar and had good service. I came to my lunch, which is quite early, so it wasn't busy. that was a good duck sandwich? It was dlt. I would recommend and I will definitely be back.
It was a great place for lunch! I had the three cheese fries with bacon, Isle of Capri pants to drink and tres leches bread pudding.The only thing I would change is possibly having to order at the counter before sitting. Book a table now
