Excellent wedding venue We had our wedding reception at the boathouse on Saturday July 1st 2017, we were absolutely delighted, it ticked all our boxes and more!! We chose the diamond package which we feel went above and beyond our expectations as virtually every detail was taken care of and customised for us. The wedding breakfast really was excellent and our guests were able to choose from several options from a tailored menu covering all dietary requirements. We were particularly impressed with the evening burger bar option, which also had terrific reviews from our guests. From our initial enquiry we were given the most friendly, warm, attentive and sympathetic service to help us make the arrangements for the wake of our loved one. The venue itself is attractive and light, airy and spacious with wonderful uplifting views of the lake, and with comfortable seating of a high standard with clean white linen tablecloths and china. Many people commented on the day how much they enjoyed the delicious food from the buffet option we had chosen. We had a fantastic day. We booked way back in July 2021 for April 2022. It was for our blessing/ renewal of wedding vows. We booked for 70 people. We ordered the hot buffet which had a mix of hot and cold. We asked for 8 circle tables and 3 small square tables. We arrived and everything was set up. It was perfect from booking to the day. Ann who was the person we was in contact with messaged us a few days before to check we was all ready to go and said we can arrive slightly early to make sure everything was perfect and it gave me a chance to change.
I have celebrated many special occasions with friends and family at the Boathouse, including my surprise 50th birthday party. What a fantastic night it was! The Boathouse staff were very professional and approachable, and they have never let me down. The service is excellent, and the staff are polite and friendly. The food is also very good, especially the Sunday roast. I would highly recommend the Boathouse to anyone looking for a beautiful venue, great service, and excellent value for money. Book a table now
One of my all time fave Roast dinners local to me , set in the grounds of Danson park that holds so many memories for me and Mum and my Sister growing up also has tables with lake views and a terrace with a panoramic view of the park and lake but also Danson House itself.. Went to The Boathouse with my family at the beginning of April and had a lovely meal. The meat was cooked fresh and there was a good choice of veg with all the trimmings. My daughter enjoyed the GF pizza too. Will be going back again.
fantastic carvery, the bark melts in her mouth, could not harm the food and the ambiente. followed by a beautiful bottle rioja. music might have been better, but not everyone has my taste. will be back soon.
