Uninterested and unsympathetic management. Came for Mother's Day lunch with my Mum, brother husband. All of us ordered a roast which was fairly standard; the dessert choice was uninspiring so we ordered 1 sticky toffee pud. Whilst waiting to pay the bill the wooden dining chair I was sitting on, collapsed, literally fell apart. I landed unceremoniously on the floor with one of the broken wooden legs digging painfully into me. We found this place after checking into our Airbnb. We had been in the UK for just a few hours, had spent lots of time either walking or sitting on trains, after a long flight with little rest. We were tired, hungry, and ready to try our first real English food. Staff were kind and helpful, the food was delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Will probably be back before we head back across the pond.

The Sunday Roast was absolutely impeccable. One of the best roasts I have had in a long time! The bar staff member Zoltan was excellent and super attentive. Would 100% recommend this pub to anyone.
