Five of us came for dinner and we loved everything about this pub. Chris was very friendly and welcoming (despite our getting delayed on the motorway) and we were able to bring our dogs. Chris was also very reassuring about the food being suitable for coeliacs. And there was a great choice! My heritage tomatoes in garlicky balsamic vinegar were delicious. The chorizo Scotch egg also went down a storm. It was such a treat to be able to have gluten free fish and chips: light, crispy batter on the fish (made with gluten free beer) and chips, all fried in gluten free oil. We also has gluten free onion rings! The lamb rump and the chicken breast were also really good. The puddings were amazing! M...

I went to this restaurant for the first time today with my family, after purchasing a static caravan nearby and receiving recommendations through word of mouth. The staff were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly. The food was delicious and they were very attentive to my dietary needs as a person with celiac disease, offering gluten-free options that were clearly marked on the menu. The dishes were beautifully presented and served in generous portions. I will always remember my visit for the superb service, fantastic food, and charming atmosphere in a picturesque village. I am grateful to the staff who went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable. Their website is also...
A wonderful evening dinner. We’ve been camping at Ludlow and as it was our last night, we didn’t want to cook. Called up after seeing good reviews on Tripadvisor. Wanted a pub that was a free house and not your standard chain pub, serving a standard menu. Wasn’t disappointed with my choice. A very friendly pub with very friendly locals. Food was good and so was the service.
We had a large group of 17 people with ages ranging from 70 years old to 6 months old. The restaurant was very accommodating in seating all of us and catering to various dietary requests such as gluten-free and vegetarian options. The staff were fantastic and attentive, and we all had a wonderful time. The food was excellent with a diverse menu. Thank you! Book a table now
A lovely village pub run by the local community. Wonderful Landlord/ Landlady who look after it so well. Always a welcome into a great local. The food is just the job though their chips aren 't as good as they used to be ! Good value for money for drinks, food and what you can 't value ...the welcome ! Just wished I lived in the village.
This place really deserves 6 stars! We ate outside as it was a pleasant evening. Strangely 2 of our group of 4 are lactose intolerant. The waiter was very helpful and even arranged for one of us to have a completely different dish that wasn't on the menu. Service was prompt, food excellent. Thoroughly recommended.
Cute little local pub we were staying at an air bnb about 30 min walk away and had a lovely evening walk to it. Very busy as it was a sunny day but we’d booked ahead (glad we did) the food is lovely!! Service was good! Glad we dis the walk to it!!
We were referred to this pub by Bob at the Ludlow Brewery, and it surpassed our expectations. The atmosphere, food, and welcoming staff at this pub were truly exceptional. We highly recommend it and will definitely return when we are in the area. Book a table now
The food we were served was chips with everything, even if it didn't say so on the menu description. I just wish the food looked like anything like what I've seen on TripAdvisor. Classic old English pub but nothing else good to say sadly.
I’d heard “ it’s a nice pub” but didn’t expect such a warm welcome from the staff and the atmosphere created by everyone. Friendly, patient staff and a comfortable place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Good wine choice.
