Vaguely New-Orleans themed pub at the north end of Darlinghurst Road, reassuringly close to the police station. Compared to many of the other venues on offer in this part of the world, The Bourbon is not actually a bad option – a decent fit out of light wood and comfortable seating ensures a steady flow of punters even during the day. Tap beers include Blonde, Reschs, Carlton and Coopers and there is a reasonable cocktail list on offer as well. I didn’t eat on this occasion but the American themed menu is fairly priced with mains between $15 and $30. Worth a second look. thernbdiary.com

My friend and I stumbled upon this place while looking for food at 9:30pm on a Sunday night. We'd had a hectic day of travel, had just flown into town, and needed a decent meal. The bourbon did not disappoint. The manager and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was good and the prices were fair. The restaurant itself had a warm and inviting feel to it and they played great music. Would 100% recommend.

I have lived in Elizabeth Bay decades ago and I have seen so many transformations of this iconic bar / restaurant in the Cross. I'm glad that over the years it has not ceased its operation. The location is perfect, just next to the park and the famous Kings Cross fountain. Modern space, subtle lighting, warm and inviting space. Extensive drink menu, bespoke cocktails and food offerings.

We ate here before we went to the theatre. The food is good basic pub food - well cooked and fresh. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce was very good. Meals are reasonably priced and quick to arrive. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday night so it was very busy and noisy but hey, it's a pub. Will definitely come again. Book a table now

Nice decor, busy place with friendly staff. Had a burger, the average in the best meat is good chips and rolls with fresh salad. I would neverfish here again and try the food again through other good ratings - lunch seems to be a good cry. But overall I enjoyed it to experience and not to face.

A drink in the heart of the Cross. Watch as the world passes by in front of you as you sip beer and listen to good vibes. Cool place to hang with some friends for a drink.
