"We celebrated my wife's birthday with another meal at this restaurant and we were not let down. Despite it being a quiet time of year, the restaurant was still excellent in terms of service and food quality. Even though we ordered the ribeye and sirloin, we found it to be great value for money. Overall, it's a fantastic place."

Sadly a disappointing second visit. Visited once before mid week and food was exceptional. Thought I would treat the family to a Sunday roast. We had starters of a beef croquette which was adequate and well presented. The crab/shrimp risotto which was very good. Then the camembert which was roasted with toast. This however was out of date when my wife and child noticed. After they had eaten it. It was almost 3 weeks out of date (13.09.2023). We pointed this out to the waitress who was exceptional and very apologetic. She fed this back to the Chef who apparently said to the waitress. Don't worry it is a best before date you will be fine. This is not the case and was the use by date. The lid a...

We decided to dine at this restaurant based on positive reviews we had heard. The restaurant got quite busy during our visit, so it is recommended to make a reservation. The food was all delicious and well-prepared, with reasonable wait times between courses, although there was some waiting as everything is made fresh. Unfortunately, there was no option for real ale when we were there, which may be important for some customers to know. The constant questioning of whether we needed more drinks started to feel a bit pushy rather than attentive, especially since none of us were big drinkers. However, the servers were all very polite and attentive.

Lively Atmosphere …waiting staff really lovely , patient and attentive , my friends are meat eaters so they wanted to try the steak here , they liked the mini ham egg and chips really cute and different The main meals looked nice the chips looked really good stole one to try ! I had veggie option but was not really a bit of me , it was more about my carnivorous amigos … to be honest ! The wine was lovely …Turtle Bay Sauvignon blanc Was happy just to have this and enjoy the company And the ambiance……

This restaurant embodies all things British, from discussing the weather and queuing to serving the classic Sunday Roast. The debate over what makes a great Sunday Roast is put to rest here, as this one truly excels. While it may be pricier than the average pub roast, the quality and flavor elevate it to a whole new level. The beef and lamb are top-notch, and the sides are delicious. Overall, it is a hearty and satisfying meal that is well worth the price. Book a table now

Our first date night since we have moved to the area and I’m so glad we chose to come here. The food was absolutely amazing, not like anything I’ve ever had before. I can’t wait to come back and try more. We definitely over ordered. The staff were lovely. Really attentive. As soon as your drink was nearly empty someone would come and ask if you wanted more. Can’t wait to come back.

We came here today for my partner’s 30th Birthday. Absolutely faultless. Literally couldn’t find any fault with the food. So delicious! Service was great as well. We had the pork croquette and sour dough with the bacon butter to start and fillet steaks for main. Steak was cooked to perfection! Will definitely be back. Probably the best steak we have ever had.

first of all i have no complaints on the food ,it was excellent but the prices charged at the butchers block are becoming ludicrously high. i had a ribeye steak priced at £32 and was charged £6 for 5 onion rings! really ? the wine list is £30+ ! with no reasonable choices . every body knows about the cost of living but please dont take advantage.

The parking is a little tight to be honest but finally squared it. Staff grand overall and always helpful, thank you. The food was very tasty. Between the four of us we had steaks, skewers steaks and fish chips, all really tasty and not amount overall. A good visit but a little pricey for what you get. Thanks though, will visit in the future. Book a table now

Can’t see what the hype is about Did not start well with road closed and the parking lot was full Had the roast platter for 2 but no pork Extra lamb was offered. It’s a very busy place very noisy and the food was below average and expensive for what we got Not planning to visit again as no time soon There are better pubs around
