Fantastic restaurant in this hotel. We were not staying here but were made to feel very welcome and served up some delicious food at surprisingly good prices. I had the seabass, delicious with some lovely delicate flavours and beautifully presented, my husband had the vegetarian shepherds pie. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it was good to see that, not only did they have a great selection of vegetarian food but some imaginative thought had gone into it and it was all freshly made too. we couldn't resist the sticky toffee for desert and WOW! it was amazing!!! As a family of four, went into the hotel for a meal. As it was before 12 O'clock we were asked to make ourselves comfortable in the bar and perhaps get a drink whilst waiting for the restaurant to open. At 10mins past 12, attempted to go into the restaurant and had to queue. We were told that the restaurant was now full and we would have a 45/I hr wait before a table was available. What a bad way to run an hotel. They should have reserved the table for us before ushering us into the bar but no. We thought the receptionist had! As my son and child were waiting for the bus (train cancelled because of the weather) we were unable (and rather unwilling by that time, unwilling) to wait any longer.
Went to Cairngorm for food with family , A warm place but can be very busy and rushed during busy times. Menu and food is of good quality and staff are very friendly. Our food came very quickly and cannot fault the portions and taste of the food at all as it was probably our best meal while staying in the area . Tip would be to turn up early in the evening as tables go very quick after 5 . The bar area is great with football and other sports shown.
One of our “go to” places on our yearly visit/stay in Aviemore. Actually ate dinner here twice this year (out of 7 nights . Buzzer system until table available as bookings not taken good system which works well. We always like to grab a drink in the bar before dinner and often there is live music on which just enhances the atmosphere. Never disappointed with their good, tasty food, large portions and very reasonable prices. Please give it a go.

Went here around 4pm for an early family dinner ...3 generations of us. Grandparents, parents and kids. The welcome from staff Jason in particular) was fantastic we were made to feel very much at home and warmly welcomed. The food was excellent, served quickly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Happily recommend this venue for an evening meal.
Went in for Sunday lunch with parents Gerry in the Restaurant and the girls very friendly and organised, I had the scotch broth Turkey roast and out of this world sticky toffee pudding,mum had thee biggsstcsteak pie iv ever seen overflowing with steak chunks,first class and great value as a senior menu available,, big portions and top quality
So you have to wait, but really there system works well so get a beer and wait a bit. Staff excellent, we have a disabled daughter in a wheelchair, they could not have been more helpful. Food was very good, didn’t want for anything. We really enjoyed our evening
This is a really busy restaurant, probably the most popular in Aviemore and if you go you will understand why. All staff very attentive, menu extensive, food delicious and reasonably priced. There is a good atmosphere in the restaurant and the bar.

Popped in here on our recent visit to Aviemore, for a couple of drinks and some lunch. We opted for the soup and sandwich deal, and it was absolutely delicious, so much filling in the sandwiches and reasonable priced. Will definitely return
Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course.
