My 2023 birthday dinner at The Capital Grille, Fair Lakes Promenade in Fairfax, VA was, hands down, the BEST restaurant my husband has ever taken me in the DMV! Totally ranks HIGH on my list ... I'll say it was even better than Hell's Kitchen in Vegas! The food was delicious. My seared tuna and his lamb chops were excellently seasoned. The chefs clearly pay attention to detail and take pride in the art of presentation. Just like others have mentioned, the table was decorated in honor of my birthday ... I even got a card. The entire restaurant is gorgeous and clean ... even the little lamp on our table was shining bright and dust-free! Our servers stayed attentive ... we definitely felt the l...

Came here for my moms birthday. We ordered a bottle of wine, server was spilling everywhere : ordered the calamari and burrata salad. Calamari was fine, as well as the burrata. We did enjoy the bread basket. The entrees were all spectacular. We had the filet, lamb chops, NY Strip salmon. Sides were creamed spinach, truffle fries au gratin. I do wish the experience was a bit better. When I think steakhouse dinner that is going to cost several hundred dollars, I expect more organization. Spacing and timing out drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. They were a bit underwhelming in that fact, compared to other steak houses. My personal opinion.

High end atmosphere and high prices did combine or equate to expected high quality. Soup and table sharing veggies were cold. The steak plates were decent, salmon entrees were good, but chicken breast was very disappointing. Service dropped off when the lunch crowd left.
