There are 2 entrances to Carron to Mumbai, we entered from the street side and walked into an unmanned bar, a girl did eventually appear and asked if we had a table booked we had 2 friends joining us so asked if we could wait for them in the bar which wasn't a problem but weren't offered a drink while we waited, another waiter appeared a few minutes later and aknowleged us and we asked if we could have a drink which he seemed to go to another bar for and then the drinks were brought. Apart from the initial welcome the rest of the evening was very enjoyable. Food is delicious but service is chaotic. Our booking had not been received by the restaurant so we had a 15 minute wait until a table became available which at 7.15pm was not too long but as the evening went on people were having to wait over an hour for their booked tables!!! There did not seem to be anyone in overall charge and too few staff to wait on clear tables. This said the food is truly delicious so we will go back but maybe midweek, hopefully this is just teething problems and they will get their act together.
my wife and I traveled a few years ago through england and scottland for our slumbering weeks (from the states) and we have since thought of this place. it was our favorite Indian food that we had everywhere in Britain, and we ate quite pieces in our weeks. Funny we ended up here by chance. I look forward to the day we can deliberately go back. the building was very unique and the owner was much fun to chat. highly recommended
the restaurant was cold. buffet should begin at 12.30; table for 13.00 no eating appeared until 13.30 cold plates for hot eating, little choice in buffet. cocktailbar, which was advertised, was not open and no cocktails were available. a disappointing experience that we would not repeat.

The food was very good as was the service and welcome. However, because it was very quiet the place was very cold. We had to keep our coats on to eat our meal and we didn’t relax and wait for coffee. Couldn’t wait to get back to the car to get warmed up.
We visited Carron to Mumbai for my daughters 21st birthday. We had a lovely meal with complimentary soup and an onion bhaji which was a nice gesture as was the helium balloon and prosecco. Have been before and will definitely be back.

Great food, great decor, Raj and Cameron very attentive as was the restaurant floor manager. Ambiance would have received a higher score but restaurant, being a Tuesday, was very quiet.
