Best fish and chips I've ever had. Very fresh tasting. The chips were hot and tasted like they were just cut. Been there twice, had fish twice. Traveling to Dublin again in a week. Want to try some other dish, but I sure would miss the fish. The waiter remembered me from my first visit. He remembered what I ate and drank and where I sat!! Like the cozy atmosphere and great local music. I'll be back.

The restaurant is hidden in the cellar which with a name like vaults you would expect. I made a reservation but it really wasn’t needed. We were seated in the lounge section of the bar and the food was alright for bar/pub food. Honestly with a name like Castle Vaults I was expecting more... it was just another pub.

Staying in a nearby hotel which doesn't have a restaurant and having not eaten since breakfast I ventured into the Castle Vaults a very hungry customer at
nice eating, especially the salmon, unique cozy environment, great music by ray cox and we all had a great time.
