After 5minutes or so, a waitress, different from the one mentioned to us by the hostess arrived for our drink order. We asked to see a wine list. It was then she realized we didn’t have any menus. The hostess returned with the menus a few moments later. We ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. The lamb lollipops were the best part of our meal. Our anniversary dinner at the Chalkboard Restaurant proved to be such a delight. Definitely some of the best food I have ever eaten.
I had the beef Wellington with cauliflower risotto. My husband had the market fish. Both dishes were superb although my husband noted that he wish he would have ordered the Wellington. The owner confirmed that this is the signature dish. Even the bread and butter were very tasty.
Great, friendly service. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and we had a chance to speak with both the owner and chef.
Pricy, but nice for a special night out.
Tonight we celebrated my 50th birthday. My husband ordered the beef Wellington which was delicious and so tender that he could cut the steak with a fork. I had the pan seared duck which was also delicious. The crabcakes we had as an appetizer were tasty, and the seasoned butter that came with our crusty bread was delicious too. We let them know ahead of time with the reservation it was my birthday, and I received a complementary bread pudding. All of that along with a glass of wine totaled $120. We'll go again for a special occasion.
Small quaint yet sofisticated atmosphere with great staff. My husband LOVED the amazing smokie burger with sauted onions and bacon marmalade with cheddar cheese. My eggs Benedict and smoked potatoes with mushrooms, onions and peppers was fabulous as well. It comes with the choice of potato or fruit cup....I took both and glad I did they were awesome! Great coffee to We will be back!!!! Update: Spring 2023 They have changed the style of the restaurant and the menu...NOT IMPRESSED!!!

Usually very satisfied with this experience. But this time...menu seemed very limited. Romaine "wedge" was tasty, but very small...maybe 5-6 romaine half leaves. I should have known the "seared" scallops would be barely warm, and absolutely translucent. This evening was not a win. We were looking for a light meal...and it really turned out to be so.
This was my second time going here for dinner and it didn't let down. The food and the service were spectacular. Prime rib, Parmesan risotto, and sweet potato... Uh I could go there every day, and don't get me started on the desserts! Birthday dinner well spent.

The Chalkboard is a classy place to go for a special night out! The service is spectacular and the food is out of this world. They went out of their way to make sure our drinks were just what we wanted when we were trying new ones out!
