The Chateau is a family favorite. We have been going there since I was a kid and we love it every time. I don't even need to look at the menu any more. I get the same thing every time and it never disappoints. This most recent trip was with my wife and brother because he was up for a visit after moving away. Our server Nerry was great as always. He was very accommodating with my wife's food allergies and consulted with management and the chef for the safety of her order. He was great!. All in, you and your party will love The Chateau.

As for the clientele, they were predominantly older patrons—much like the building itself. It felt like a scene out of another era, with some guests speaking on their phones at full volume right at the dining table. There were moments that felt awkward, like the sound of someone having difficulty eating, or loud discussions about medical issues happening in the common area. This wasn't just a one-off occurrence; it was the same atmosphere at four other tables around us.

Waitress tried to overcharge us by adding not one but two items to the check and then when asked about it, did a terrible job acting—everyone in the table knew what was going on. The food is subpar at best, don’t come here expecting even Olive Garden food, lol.

Had 6 dishes and only noteworthy dish was lobster shrimp &scallop diavolo. New dish- sirloin tips marsala was too chewy, but sauce was not bad. All other dishes were meh. Found sticker still on the lemon piece in fish dish...but didnt make a fuss about it. Book a table now

If you love classic old school places, the Chateau is perfect. Huge portions and while traditional basic fare, it is awesome. The only piece of nostalgia missing was cigarette smoke...which is a compliment to this long-standing relic (in a good way).

They survive only thanks to their reputation in the 90s. Once this generation moves out of waltham or eats at aa real Italian restaurant, they'll be shutting down. RUDE staff. Subpar/ badfood

All I requested was a cup of clam chowder, but I ended up being served Italian wedding soup instead. That shouldn't be too difficult to get right.
