Appetizers: Steamed Mussels 5/5 My first time having mussels so I'm not the best judge, but they were excellent Poutine 5/5 Also my first time having Poutine, but it was excellent Dinner: Surf and turf (Filet Mignon Scallops) 3/5 This wasmy only disappointment of the night and would never order again. Scallops and asparagus were perfect, mashed potatos were goodbut needed a little more seasoning for my tastes, the filet mignon though is the reason for the disappointment and nothing I'veseen before. Came as 2 pieces of thin cut meat, maybe 1/4 inch thick each. They looked more like pork chops. I ordered Mediumrare and both were just shy of being well done. Staffing 4/5 Waiter was nice, little...
We have been fans of Chew Chew since it was located on the other side of the tracks. In its new location, it has not only enhanced its indoor and outdoor dining options but also increased its capacity to serve more customers. The restaurant now features a spacious main floor and a second level to accommodate even more diners. There’s a fantastic bar to enjoy while waiting for a table! When the three of us visited, Chew Chew was nearly full, but the staff quickly offered us a choice between two booths. The variety of food and menu options was excellent, just as we remembered. The service was both courteous and efficient. This is definitely a 5-star restaurant!
Chew Chew has impressed me once again! The Creole chicken from the special dinner menu was absolutely phenomenal! The aromatic flavors of the redfish tacos were unmatched, and I’m truly a fan of that salsa verde. Pairing it all with the delightful sangria made for an unforgettable dining experience at one of the most creative and flavorful kitchens in the near west suburbs. A big thank you to the entire team at Chew Chew!
The server was almost rude. Three out of four meals were satisfactory. I ordered the steak sandwich, but I must say I’ve had better for just $8 instead of $18. After settling the bill, the server didn’t return. Surprisingly, he still ended up with a 28% tip. Book a table now
My wife and I enjoyed ousters and some of the best french Onion suop we ever had. I enjoyed a Flat Bread iwht sausage and meatballs and Giardinare. And we also enjoyed great cocktails before all the foold
