As ever, the quality of the food delivered in this tasting menu was excellent. The cod was divine. The beef was excellent. The chefs sauces are very well constructed. Service was attentive but too speedy. Not enough time between courses to savour the delights! It would be better to leave collecting the plates for a couple of minutes after the last mouthful! The whole experience would have been better if the meal was served in the orangery. Unfortunately, the dining room has little or no ambience and doesn’t match the quality of the food. We are regulars: we will return but look forward to the Orangery being reopened.
The hotel lounge and dining areas were decent, and we were given a complimentary appetizer. We dined in the evening after the hotel had served 80 Mother's Day lunches, so the staff seemed tired. Unfortunately, our main courses were not up to par and did not improve when we raised concerns. My pappardelle dish seemed reheated, and when extra sauce was added, it tasted off. I experienced stomach issues when I got home and it took three days to recover.
Having lived in Ludlow for some time, have only recently ventured to the Cliffe the food is fantastic and staff brilliant. Really have enjoyed both meals their recently very gastro pub vibes. Ambience good be improved but simply being busier would help this would suggest promoting more for lunches etc locally as it really is a great place!
The food at this restaurant was fantastic, with the best beef I've had in a long time. We came for Sunday lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find a Jazz quartet playing in the foyer, creating a great atmosphere. This was our first time at the Cliff, but we will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic Father's Day Lunch at this wonderful restaurant. Everything was excellent and we will definitely be returning in the future with our family and friends. Although it was just my husband and I who dined on Father's Day, we had a great time.
Our bedroom was spacious with lovely views over the surrounding countryside and was extremely clean. The evening meal was absolutely delicious and well presented. Great breakfast too!
I have eaten and stayed at the Cliffe at Dunham but this was seven years ago. The food was outstanding then and again now. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone in the area.
Food was good, unfortunately the conservatory area was closed so no views to report.
