My wife and I met with another couple in Shipston and wanted somewhere to eat The Horseshoe was full and so went around the corner to the Coach and Horses wondering what it might be like after reading not so good reviews. How undeserved were those reviews!! It was a Tuesday lunchtime and not very busy and so wondered if the food was on offer. We received a warm and friendly welcome and given a quite extensive food choice. We chose four different meals which were served quickly and nicely presented and good portions. we called on spec this week with a view to having dinner but were sodisappointed to find that they weren't serving food until next week (April). That said, the pub was very quaint and the staff were great. I'm sure that the food will be good too. I would say that you mustn't be put off by it's exterior (it is competing with the very impressive frontage of it's neighbour); it is a very quanit and welcoming pub
A group of us popped in here for a few pints before heading for a curry. The pub is really one I would describe as a men's drinking pub with cheap and cheerful quick bites. This isn't somewhere I would take my wife for a dinner out. Now it doesn't claim to be so it is what it is and deserves 3 stars.
This is a big claim I know. But I do review boozers in London as a past time and I've been drinking Guinness in the UK for over 17 years now and this was by far the best Guinness I've had. Proper Shtick. The Irish amongst us will understand.

Lovely people great atmosphere. My partner and I are staying at an air b'n'b nearby so were looking for a friendly local that we could enjoy a few drinks in. The coach and horses is just that if you are a biker friendly person.
Visited on 06/08/17, premises clean and tidy, staff very friendly and helpful. We had food, they were so helpful, food was hot and generous portions, at very reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again when in the area
Popped in for lunch one afternoon off bar full of characters but very friendly landlord was a very amiable chap food was good and not over priced for the area
I went to the Coach while on holiday in Shipston last weekend and the beer was fantastic and the service was superb I will definitely be returning soon

A very good clean drinking place with good staff too. Good selection of beers and plenty of seating both inside and out side
