We had lunch there, ordering two toasties and a sandwich, along with some sweet potato fries on the side—simple pub fare. To my delight, it exceeded my expectations and was absolutely delicious, proving once again that good ingredients, when well prepared, make for a fantastic meal. We typically eat quite a bit, sometimes even two meals a day, but after our impromptu lunch, we couldn’t manage dinner. It was refreshing to enjoy a meal in an authentic pub atmosphere, especially since there was no background music to distract us. I often cringe at the term "gastro pub," as it can imply overpriced and underwhelming food. But in this case, the meal was a delightful surprise—genuinely excellent...

This charming English pub is situated right by the picturesque village green in Combe. It's the ideal spot for enjoying delicious homemade food, a great selection of ales, and friendly service. The occasional live music on Sundays enhances the lovely atmosphere. There's no pretentiousness here, just genuine goodness. It's about a half-hour walk through the fields alongside the Blenheim Palace gardens to get here.

Such a lovely pub we booked a table for 12 for a walking group then turned up with 19 and the owners were really nice about it and made sure we were well looked after ever though we were a massive table and just two of them working. Also the pub is in a beautiful setting on the green at Lovely Combe

lovley village pub, would definitely recommend. many places to park in the village where we stared an aa walk to the blenheim palace gardens. my friends ordered food, that was reasonably expensive and I was very well told. the renter has laid the rugby for us. also dog friendly.
