Just so you know, we werr torn between giving the colonial a 3.5 or a 4... and i will explain why. We were kindly invited to the colonial so our score/review will not include pricepoints as we did not pay for our meal. I am crazy about 2 cruisines, indian and middle eastern. I love the spices, i love the flavour, i cant stand the heat but i keep going back for more. I think im pretty confident in my judgement of indian food. The colonial is more of an indian fusion, indian with a modern take. I had a tamarind martini and it was a bomb, a very unique and beautiful taste with a kick. Chicken tandoori salad was beautiful (the chicken was so tender and flavoursome), i loved the paneer spring r...

Worst experience in a restaurant I had. We have addressed our table for an hour and not seized our order. Although we ask three times when we could order, we were said that from a co-worker that they could not take orders and Keonwaitin. The third time asked that she said they could try to draw attention to their managers to show an order because he would not hear them on them ... yes noise ridiculous was ridiculous. The restaurant was not even full, the manager focused on the removal of orders and not in the restaurant. A couple with a 1-year-old child asked if they could order as their child was extremely hungry just to be knocked down. I can not comment on food because we did not get any....

Best Indian restaurant in Sydney - delicious curry and wine! We have slowed a good Indian food and decided to give this restaurant a taste test. When we came in, we were greeted by a beautiful Gentleman, who went to us to our table. We had no booking and happiness for us there was room in which we can penetrate ourselves. We ordered some curry dishes, naean, rice and some wine with our dinner. Hunt! It was just delicious, probably the best Indian food we had long. My partner could no longer agree on how well their Indian courts are. The wine served was perfectly matched and balanced, and the pricing was very appropriate and great value. Well, since we have discovered this restaurant, you wil... Book a table now

The colonial offers a British Indian restaurant with some unique and refreshing combinations. Grief Grief I was surprised to see a selection of salads on the menu including watermelon and feta, green salad with chicken and a chicken tikka salad. These were all light and fresh. Grief Grief For web we had a duck-masala, salmon dildar and a vegetarian curry with rice. The dishes really needed a Naanbrot to accommodate the aromas in the sauce. Make sure you try the Paneer Spring Roles here - they were our choice of the night. Grief Grief If you are still hungry, some of your desserts, we recommend the pistachio ice cream

Let's be clear about one thing. This is definitely not an English style curry, despite how it is branded. While the food is decent, it is not exceptional, especially considering the price. Overall, it was a satisfactory meal, but we would not likely return as there are plenty of other curry restaurants that offer the same food at lower prices. The markup of up to 50% is quite ridiculous, to be honest.

We visited the place with friends - it seems more like a hype. Food is only average, but the service is good. I love British Indian cuisine who spent my childhood in England, but the food is not authentic tasted.
