I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while! The owner is incredibly kind and professional, and he always remembers my order—it's such a nice touch! The staff are also friendly, making it enjoyable to strike up conversations while I’m there. I frequent this place quite a bit since I work from home and like to get out of the house. They offer stamp cards for students, which are really useful, so be sure to grab one! Most of the customers seem to be regulars, which really highlights the quality of the service and food. I always have a great experience, and I highly recommend giving this wonderful spot a try! Plus, it’s Black-owned, which is even more reason to support it! <3

I visited this café due to its positive reviews and intriguing menu. However, I was disappointed by the service I received. The staff member serving me seemed annoyed, while the same person was noticeably more polite to another customer. I mentioned this to the manager but didn't ask for any compensation. I came for the food, but the vibe affected my experience.

Everything here was amazing. I ordered their honey lavender latte, which I have tried at other locations before, and it was perfect here. The bacon and egg breakfast sandwich was delicious. Would highly recommend as it is a small black-owned business! A lot better than Starbucks I would say.Vegetarian options: They had a veggie breakfast sandwich!

Best muffins in the city of Chicago. I don't understand how they get the muffin tops so crunchy and perfect. I've never been able to recreate them. Also, its a lovely black owned business, lots of tasty options but. The muffins are a stand out. Book a table now

Paid $6+ for cold brew, ordered from a surly cashier who rushed me as I examined the sad bakery case. Not very comfy inside (kind of sterile and echoey) but nice patio. Should have just gotten iced coffee at Dunkin and walked to the lake.

Come here often for espresso drinks, tea lattes, and great pastries. The orange cranberry muffin is super moist and tastes great! They also have a punch card :

The coffee was not bad. The person at the register seemed to actively resent my presence.Horrible start to my day, won't be back. Book a table now
