I booked this last year for myself and 4 colleagues, to prepare and cook a 3 course lunch. We got Niall McKenna (celebrated chef who owns it, and has been on Great British Menu) for about 3 hours. We had a fantastic time. Prepared a pasta starter, a main course (some of us chose fish, some steak), and a desert. Made everything from scratch including the pasta. It was a busy but really informative and enjoyable 3 hours. Great fun with Niall too, though I know you won't always get him. Finished with Niall plating up the meal and serving it to us. Despite our worst efforts Niall managed to make sure the food was great, so we had a super lunch and hours of pretty unique fun fantastic value in my...

Fantastic way to spend a rainy day in Belfast. Various methods of cooking seafood including scallops, mussels, baked and pan fried fish and seaweed potatoes. The chef is very experienced member of the restaurant team when not teaching these classes. He has a good way with people and is a natural entertainer. Although I have cooked fish all my life, I picked up plenty of ideas and will now prepare dishes like scallops and mussels, which I have avoided in the past. A bonus is you get to eat all the food at the end.

Attended the curry evening which was very casual and informative. We cooked three dishes which were all superb and washed down with a nice Pinot Grigio. The chef was happy to share lots of information about the restaurant itself and I was staggered at the amount of prep that goes in. Eg 12 hours to make stock and this is a daily chore. Will definitely try one of the other courses.

As a non cook (I generally do the washing up! , my wife dragged me along I was delighted with everything. Great atmosphere, Niall was great at explaining everything, and the ingredients terrific. We made our own bernaise and pepper sauces which we ate for lunch with delicious steaks. It all added up to really enjoyable experience. Book a table now

This was part of the culinary tour baking scones. Our host Carl was excellent and we had three types of scones. The explanation and demonstration was top notch, coffee and tea service with the scones was exceptional ensuring the coffee and tea was fresh and hot. I would come back and do another class it was excellent!!

A delightful 2 hours, learning, cooking, then eating, in very pleasant company. Well organised, and presented by the chef(the boss! in a relaxed friendly way. Good value, though disappointingly I see that they don't run the lunch club very often I would like to return!

Awful… avoid at all costs!! Booked well in advance for a birthday party. On arrival we were completely blanked by the staff. Bar staff were extremely rude. Will never be back. Book a table now
