We thought in the first instance the place seemed lovely, we sat outside, we were extremely disappointed to experience very rude and appalling customer service when it came to paying...we were not aware that they put a service charge onto the bill...we were still talking and not ready to leave when the waitress was hovering over our table and took my husbands card that was on top of the receipt without permission and proceeded to tap the card device when I looked over to see in disbelief she had tapped the machine...I also noticed the extra amount on there I challenged her asking what this was and she said it was a service charge shown on the receipt. We were a large group for a hen do so it was nice they accommodated us (tried to book in advance but not able to unfortunately) however, the food order was wrong and one of the breakfasts is not as described on the menu. Be aware that if you order the 'bubble and squeak stack ', it says with Glamorgan sausage, but there is no sausage in it at all! A few of us ordered this so when it arrived with no sausage we asked a staff member (we think she was the manager). She was very abrupt and said that it 's a vegan sausage option, which didn 't make sense to us as the rest of the meal was bacon, egg and cheese... definitely NOT vegan! Called in for a morning drink and snack. I had the Porker Sandwich and my partner decided to have the cream tea for one (two warm scones with cream and jam although could have done without the icing sugar dusting on the top). Both were nice and tasty and my pot of tea was hot and good. Partner said coffee was also good. Venue was a great court yard cafe in a side street and facilities in side, although small, were good. Staff friendly and helpful. Happy to pay the 12.5% service charge which is automatically added to the bill. A nice place to visit if in the centre of Bath.
Stumbled across this place whilst walking past and decided to stop off for tea and cake. The first two members of staff we encountered didn’t look very happy and were a bit off, however the next two were smiley and friendly, which more than made up for the initial welcoming! The pot of tea was really large so gave quite a few cups of tea, great value! The cakes however…. OMG…. Mouth watering! Totally fantastic! I had the raspberry and coffee blondie and my boyfriend had the raspberry and apple cake! Both her delicious! I’d happily have eaten both again!

nice little caffe. delicious full English breakfast. I really appreciate how clear they were about the height of gluten free they could get. they have a small kitchen and cannot guarantee cross-contamination. but they were super helpful and knew what contained gluten and were very transparent about it. I suspect that they thought that the big tip I left because I am am american, but it was because I really appreciated this level of clarity on the gluten-free front.
we just have a few cakes to grab my quality the biscoff caramel short readings were amazeballs! the service also fantastic, more attentive, faster, plus the cute takeaway box with wooden spoons. they even added a few strawberries I have to say went so well with the cake!
a really charming place. the pancakes were amazing, the personal very friendly accommodation. will definitely return. my only thing was that the covers they had offered were used before I was not excited, but it would certainly not stop me going back.
Beautiful little cafe serving delicious brunch. We had berry waffles and pulled pork on toast and both were really nice. Great way to start the day!
