Popped in for the first time the other week. I'd seen the place and was looking for an excuse to call in, so I did. The entrance is the full width of the frontage and the seating narrows towards the rear to accommodate toilets etc. Nice number of seats and a settee by the front. We were welcomed warmly and tried the bitter, prices and alcohol on a chalkboard by the bar. We had intended to move on but stayed for a couple more pints. It was a nice experience, a bit of a walk from where I live but worth the effort.
Excellent little micro pub . The hosts are exceedingly friendly and helpful. I 've only tried two of the lagers in there, one a Czech lager (Kosel) and the other a Japanese lager (Asahi), it was £3 70 a pint for the Czech lager and £3 90 a pint for the Japanese, of the two the Japanese one was smoother, better and stronger. All in all a very pleasant experience drinking in there, although a tad pricey.
Fantastic Sunday dinner. The Sticky Toffee pudding was the best I had eaten EVER, sponge was slightly still full of taste and the Custard was raised. The environment is welcoming and we were for the entertainment that was a guitar duo. Recommend everything about this little jewel.
