We stumbled upon this pub by chance while taking care of our grandchildren and were lucky enough to snag a table. Thank you to everyone at the Crooked Billet for another slice of how I remember life to be. A pint of Timothy Taylor, perfectly served, and an amazing evening meal. ABC (anything but Chardonnay) for the boss, in joke, management always drinks Chardonnay. Straight forward good food and beer that is always “just right”. Miss the chance to visit the Crooked Billet and its your loss. Richard, Sally, again thank you for a lovely evening. Go, try, enjoy.

We had a group Christmas dinner on a chilly December evening. The food was simple but delicious and traditional. The roast potatoes and vegetables were perfect, the turkey juicy, and there was plenty of gravy. The Christmas pudding was moist and we could have as much brandy custard as we wanted. The staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. What more could you ask for?

The atmosphere at this restaurant is very unfriendly, and it seems like the staff finds it difficult to interact with customers. There are no smiles or verbal contact, but the ales are well-maintained.
