The Crown - Table reservation

Stayed at the Crown twice now and all I can say really is that you would have to be really pernickety too fault it.???? The rooms are of a good size, especially shower units, it 's generally spotless with good sturdy beds/mattresses for a goodnight 's sleep or whatever takes your fancy....???????? It 's a well run establishment by Diane David with much to offer in terms of food drink with its own Public Bar and Café/Restaurant.... Whether you want Coffee/Tea sandwiches or a cake, Bar Snacks or A 'la Carte, The Crown Hotel has something to offer you. A comfortable room and freshly cooked breakfast. Old building so the bedroom has a strange shape due to sloping ceilings. I did bump my head several times. The mattress topper slides uncontrollably and one morning it and I landed on the floor and I have a large scab on my elbow. Low bedroom door and ceiling. Bathroom was shared but not on the same floor. Has a Victorian toilet on the first floor.

working away from home and staying here for a few months. Can't fault it. Friendly staff good food.

We had a takeaway afternoon tea and it was delicious. Great service, great food and great value.
