This place is a revelation. You can tell the reception is a Phoenix of The Hanover fire, but the greeting was very pleasant and the staff very friendly. Indeed, wanting to go to the cinema after, the lady chef took our food order before we came, and it was served promptly, even though we arrived early. The waiter was friendly and prompt. The food was lovely and of a very high standard, with a wide choice of starters and mains, plus specials. We didn't have room for deserts, which has a good variety. We were in the upstairs eatery, featuring beams and architecture seeming to date back to the 18th century. Anyway, wanting a quiet and cosy meal with no hassle, this was excellent. We'll happily...
