I can remember this place when it was very high in the Egon Ronay Guide. Now it’s just a pub full of locals with a less than cheery welcome. We ate two courses and wished we had eaten only one. The food was dull, boring...and unimaginative. It was the sort of food that would have done the job twenty five years ago. But no-one has told The Dandy **** that times have changed – diners expect more. finesse, more welcome and less time waiting and less cost. There was nothing to remember about The Dandy ****. The memory was just that it was unmemorable…!
Called here on the off chance yesterday on a cycle stop for pub grub and were promptly seated in the blazing sun. The were plenty of choice on the menu, from light bites to snacks and full meals, from what they were churning out portions...looked decent too. A few of us went for the salt pepper shredded chicken with fries, another the cheese and chutney sandwiches, all came with garnish on the side. All very nice and glad we stopped by.
Cosy, good value and efficient service. We called sunday afternoon, during Covid. A table found for four of us with little fuss after signing in'. Real fire in a cosy room. We only had chips and a beer because the train had been cancelled but...there was good portions at a great price. Lovely atmospher and it will be our pub of choice in future when we are rambling in the Lyme Park area. (the Manchester Ramblers)
first visit at the dandy ****, certainly not our last. pub has the feeling of a good old modelokal. we only arrived for a drink, but stayed for a few more plus decided to eat there. eating was nice, with some items on the menu homemade. large service from the young lady behind the bar rounded off a very nice evening. thank you team dandy!

we found ourselves with a broken car and not many options related to recovery. the staff at dandy hahn made us feel welcome in a small village, they opened the kitchen for us so that we eat and even friendly allowed. I could charge my phone. so welcoming and friendly. great food and drink, clean and warm! thank you for your hospitality.
Fantastic Friendly Service In Covid Safe pub with well kept beers and home made pies made by the landlord. Generous servings , I had the steak and ale pie in the photo which had big chunks of quality meat , my wife had the cheese...and onion , can’t wait to go back after lock down recommend it
Lovely little pub with the wecoming staff! Light bites menu with lots of choice, food was amazing! Would highly recommend if in the area. I will be returning
great pub, warm with friendly staff. had a really delicious bark and ale cake and bark ciabatta. would highly recommend. can't wait to come back.

Had a great Sunday lunch for all my family to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Pub staff and food was excellent, could not have been better.
