We met our friends in the bar downstairs for a drink before dinner, our last dinner of the holiday; we ordered a half bottle of champagne and i tasted it, as i have some experience in this department...and it was corked. So we tried another brand of champagne and it too was corked, so we asked if we would have more luck buying a full bottle from the restaurant upstairs, i was escorted up to the restaurant and thought i would meet the manager, but the manager had left the establishment, so i spoke to a waiter, who informed me and proceeded to show me that they did not store their champagne lying down in a cellar, but had them standing up in a glass cabinet in a corridor on display! Very nice place with an unusually good selection of vegetarian options. Unfortunately the service was absurdly slow, made worse by not even a hint of an apology. We arrived at 7.30 but it took almost an hour for the starters (salads) to arrive and another 30 minutes for the main course. There was no apology about the delay: a 2 course meal for two people took 2 hours, even taking into account that we got the bill straight after finishing the main course. The food quality and wine was great. The staff were friendly but it was just very odd that they were seemingly oblivious to the fact that we were sitting there for ages waiting for food whilst other tables were coming and going.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant.The greeting was wonderful.The service was wonderful and most importantly the food was wonderful.We felt very welcomed the moment we walked through the door by the very polite and friendly service staff.The menu, wine list and the kiddies menu were just perfect and although we didn't order particulary complicated food, it was delicious , presented nicely and served with a smile.I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone I know and wish them all the best in the future.We will be back.
Starters were promising but main course was TERRIBLE, REALLY TERRIBLE. We asked for medium entrecôte. What came was barely cooked, fatty and hardly warm enough to allow the "special Dom butter" to melt. Really one of the worst meals we have had in our beloved Saas-Fee. The waiter sighed, crashed and banged his way through the whole evening. No value for money whatsoever. Positioned as a premium experience but it really wasn't. We would recommend going to somewhere better like "The Mistral" or Chuestall instead. Don't waste you money on the Dom.

Not only is there a good choice of vegetarian food, it is of an unusually high standard. The staff were very friendly and attentive on the whole. However (I ate with the Bruce who commented below,) we were a bit disappointed by the slow service - and more so that it wasn't acknowledged. Nevertheless I would recommend this restaurant - slow service didn't seem typical (I think there had been a once off problem.) Accounting for the location and given the excellent quality of food, I personally think this restaurant is very good value for money.
We ate here last night and were blown away by the quality and attention by the chefs. This is seriously impressive food and preparation. Highly recommend their signature entre dish. Well done Patrick and team! It's all about the food here. A real gem!
The place is situated within the Dom Hotel at a very central position in the village. It is very nicely decorated and is relative quite and subtle for dinner plans. The menu card is limited with certain choices for both meat
We ate here by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely and the food was delicious. The setting was also very nice. We ate the steak and it was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Thank you.

We have been attracted by the menu displayed outside the restaurant which offered quite a variety of meat dishes. And we have not been disappointed: everything was well done and very nicely presented!
