Whilst it is not your traditional ENGLISH Indian style, it certainly is home cooked, fresh, made to order with love and care. Have an open mind. You will not be disappointed. I dined here with my family after it was recommended and I have to admit I wasn’t impressed. We found a pubic hair in our chicken curry and the glasses that were given to us for our water had lip marks on them. When I called the owner over Kalam he was really rude and said I must of put the hair in the curry so I could get a free one. I was shocked and we paid our bill and left the restaurant I couldn’t grasp how rude he was. On the way home I looked up the restaurant and saw that Plymouth council gave thethe Eastern Eye Food Hygiene Rating of (Improvement Necessary!!! without asking the best Indian restaurant in plymouth! the service is a* it is immaculately clean and well presented. the personal is attentive and dedicated the whole experience is as impressive as eating, the exquisite and alway freshly cooked to perfection with the best aromes I ever had the pleasure of digestion. this evaluation is long overdue as I have been many painters, including the last 6 Christmas days and never had a bad experience or even a remarkable quibble just on the money every time. This is the best Indian restaurant I have found in Plymouth to date after three years of very poor curries elsewhere. Having moved here from the Midlands, I prefer everything about living here except the abysmal Indian food so please believe me when I say this place is as good as and sometimes better than the places back home. Every curry is a delight, the starters are second to none, it's brilliant. If anyone tells you there is a better curry to be had In Plymouth, they don't know what they are talking about.

This is my second time coming here and definitely not my last. Service staff are always welcoming and easy to talk to, very helpful if you don't understand the menu or explaining what certain dishes are. The menu is entirely customisable which is great for people with dietary restrictions. I had their house special but vegetarian with paneer instead of meat. Delicious
Absolutely loved the Bombay potatoes and garlic naan with butter chicken. Food is good but my reason for star is rumours are going around in Plymouth that Abdul Kalam is not paying his taxes for Eastern eye. As a Devoted Muslim I can’t continue to dine here as it’s against my ethics and beliefs.
a fantastic restaurant that eat is not the same, even if what they want is not on the menu is the very friendly helpful staff will do everything they can take, I would recommend this inviting place to everyone to look forward to my next visit
Fabulous place, atmosphere. Lots of colour and sparkly. Even the loo seats! Great owner, mega friendly. Amazing food. Will be back soon!
