First time in Heywood for 3 years visiting family, 6 ladies 50 having a lovely chinwag, catching up. 2 men came over and were very jovial and enjoying the banter. Literally 40 punters in a pub that holds maybe 150. The staff other than one were very rude and basically unprofessional?? I was driving so no alcohol but they made out that one of the gentlemen was being too loud and upsetting other customers??? We went to the bar for 4 drinks, she took 2 of them over to table right by bar and the bar staff said you 've gotta pay for em! Erm of course as if she was going to do a runner!! All the staff are great but Wendy kitchen manager gave us fantastic service couldn’t do enough for us 2 beautiful mixed grills that were a credit to Wetherspoons thanks again Wendy
Before we went on holiday in June with friends we called in here to have our breakfast. The breakfast was wonderful with the price to match. Will definitely call again for food.
very busy cheap kitchen, but delicious we had streak on steak night and Thursday we had the curry club I had the nega curry it was hot hot hot
