We went to the Elephant last night on its first day of opening. Every thing had been done to make sure customers and staff were kept safe. On entering there was a hand sanitising machine for everyone to use. At our table we could see the menu on our phone and send our order straight to the kitchen. We had a lovely meal up to the usual standard and although there were screens around the bar and tables it did not alter the friendly ambience that is always present at the Elephant.
1st day back open what can I say service as we walked through the door greeted by a nice friendly gentleman, very welcoming and Homely , tables and bar set up great with the screens and stickers on the floor showing where to go, food was amazing too, staff had visors on and kept the distance, ordering on the app is great! Nothing was to much or scary thank you so much, lovely food and friendly staff, nice to see the pub back open with happy staff!
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. As someone with celiac disease, I was unfortunately exposed to gluten. The menu did mention the possibility of cross contamination, which is common in restaurants that offer gluten-free options. I ordered the gluten-free beef nachos and bacon cheeseburger.
Never been before but thought it looked nice. It was so welcoming the staff friendly and efficient. The food was superb hot and plentiful we couldn’t fault it. Felt very safe with all the Covid restrictions in place. We will definitely be returning again. Book a table now
Went on Saturday for dinner, felt really safe with all the protective covid stuff they have around the pub, food delicious, staff very helpful and wearing visors, kept sanitising everywhere throughout are visit, we definitely be back soon thanks again
Really great, good quality food at the elephant and their response and measures implemented since COVID are great, feel really safe in their restaurant Depending on who is serving you service can be mixed but on the whole a great place to go.
First time I have visited this pub for a meal. I had a mixed grill and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and the pub is very nice and very clean. I would definitely recommend eating here

Staff refunded money when asked, but shocked that the pubs have only just reopened and they can’t clean their glasses correctly. Really is a joke and shows this pub is not ready to reopen just yet.
