Went 4 nights of 7, staying locally. Great Pub with huge range of drinks, including a great Gin menu. Ordered a porn star martini cocktail on last night at £6.50. Price about right....but it came in pre mixed bottle!!! Asked the to see the bottle, and there was no mention of procecco on the ingredients label, and when I asked if its served with a shot was told...NO. Felt very cheated by this, and sorry for the staff who had to explain this. Bottle would have cost less than £3 for the landlord to buy...nice profit while leaving at least one customer....me...feeling very cheated.
The bar had a great selection of drinks, including a few specialty gins at the gin bar. However, the staff were not very friendly and seemed uninterested in engaging with customers. When I inquired about food options on a Friday night, they said they couldn't be bothered. We enjoyed a drink, particularly the exceptional Guiness, before deciding to leave in search of food. Overall, it was a nice pub for drinking by the river, but disappointing in terms of its food offerings as the staff did not seem motivated to provide good service.
This pub is wonderful, it has an area to have drinks and watch sports on the tv but then they have a hidden area that has an extensive gin menu and is great for a group of friends to go to. the staff are lovely, knowledgable about the different gins and speciality tonics. I love it. It has wonderful views over the River Tees in the summer, I would highly recommend this place
This is a great bar with an excellent selection of gins. The young girl behind the bar was very polite, friendly and welcoming. We sat out the back while the sun was out in their fantastic beer garden/terrace with great views of the river. Looking forward to returning.

This unique, welcoming, and well-stocked bar is not to be underestimated by its appearance as just any old pub. Their gin menu is exceptional, and the riverfront seating is a definite bonus on a sunny day. If you find yourself in the area, this place is a must-visit!
Absolute cracking pub, the view of the river out the back is lovely, can imagine it being a good sun trap! Only thing I wish it done was some pub grub food to accompany the beverages, doesn’t have to be fine dining but just some sort of food menu.
The back bar, which used to be a bit of a social club look, has been refurbished into a lovely gin bar. The selection of gins is great, enjoyed overlooking the River Tees. What's not to like. Nice terrace out the back as well for sunny days.
The rear bar of the Emmy has a fantastic gin bar. Superb range of gins with all the right trimmings and tonics. Lovely decor and great views of the Tees and countryside. Not sure about the music though sometimes!

I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant with a great atmosphere. Enjoyed a few drinks while watching the Champions League semi-final. I would definitely visit again.
Went there for a drink and was pleasantly surprised to discover they have an extensive selection of gins and craft beers! Lovely garden to sit in and overlook river Tees!
