The staff at The Establishment was welcoming and courteous even though our reserved table was not ready upon our timely arrival. I only mention this because the restaurant contacted me via text five times to reconfirm my reservation since I originally made it. One of these reconfirm requests was by phone and the restaurant requested a credit card to hold the table. An additional comment on the noise level of the dining room with the piano where we were seated. The piano player was in competition with the conversation level thus exacerbating the decibel level above what I would consider for such a nice establishment making normal conversation difficult. The reviews are high for good reason! We tried so many restaurants that get all the buzz and hype in Charleston. This one deserves more! David, our server, knows every detail about the menu. He steered us in the right direction and we enjoyed everything he suggested. This is a great dining experience. Come in to relax and enjoy great food with kind and knowledgeable service. Expectations exceeded!
beautiful restaurant, excellent service and the grouper was the best I ever had. the thorough weinlist has made a fantastic experience. we will certainly return for special occasions, group dinner, intimate date night and convenient week night dinner at the bar. already on a group dinner at the beautiful cooking table! perfect complement to broad street. you just have to go!
the service was excellent! the ambiente fantastic. good wine list. on small portions. every dish we tried had a tonne butter or other fat: new menu daily. I would have tried the lamb fit, but the cook refused to replace another sweet for the carrots I never had eaten. the 3rd party macarons were amazing. my favorite taste was the coffee and caramel. the others were in order.

menu was great and eat / flavors very good. price per dish is high for the amount of food except for the whole fish that was only fabulous. wein selection is extensive with a lot of price points. beautifully furnished and open kitchen concept. grund for 4 stars is the value based on the price. these are NY prices and not justified.
Gnocchi was lacking shrimp. The chicken liver pate was excellent with a nice assortment of sides. Pork chop, side potatoes and swordfish with mussels…oh yes!!! Our waiter was amazing! Wish I’d caught his name. We got next to a window seat. Overall, great experience. Not a lot of food per plate and very pricey.
Our waiter Tanner was excellent, and the food was delicious. We,live locally and eat out 2-3xs a month. This was a great choice.
Truly wonderful meal in all aspects! Will definitely dine here again!!
