Food was fantastic…. Service appalling, to begin with they forgot my potatoes, fine it happens. Ordered a dessert to share chocolate torte however we were served with Eton Mess told the waitress it was not what we ordered so she walked away only to reappear with the same dessert saying this is what I ordered…no way I don’t even like Eton mess … I then witnessed a congregation of staff showing their support disapproval of what had to happened to their colleague at this stage I was quietly feeling awkward embarrassed. Eventually receiving the dessert we ordered I couldn’t enjoy it went to the bar to complain to the ….who appeared to be the manager, she straight away jumped to her staffs defenc...
For those of you who may have read my reviews over the years, you'll know I don't do half-hearted reviews.. I say it as I see or find it.. Well, this venue may be classed as pubgrub type establishment, But from the moment we arrived, and throughout our time here, the staff were very polite, very engaging, and so importantly, very professional .. So if management read this review.. Your staff were a credit to your business... So.. Now for the culinary part of this visit/ review .. Superb cuisine. I can honestly say that this display of culinary delights would NOT look out place in a fine dining restaurant.. I would even go as far as suggesting that the chef could easily be part of a Michelin...
What a superb pub staffed by lovely professionals. We were here for an evening meal. I had the duo of beef which was blade of beef and two generous portions of fillet of beef. This and the accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. My wife had the lamb cooked 2 ways which was also excellent. The Eton mess to finish was another triumph and a very individual and modern take. This was 5* restaurant cooking at its best. Congratulations to all the staff and thank you for a memorable meal.
We had a meeting with a client and unfortunately experience very rude hospitality service and when requesting an email to complain the member of staff came to confront us in a very unprofessional manor. Whilst we have in the past enjoyed we won’t be returning again and feel the front of house has really let the rest of the team down as previously we have enjoyed great food here.

We booked Sunday lunchtime for a birthday celebration, age range 14 80. A large menu suited everyone and all the meals were excellent. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional and the whole event was very much enjoyed by us all. Thank you.
Having heard so much about the food and service took a chance for our wedding lunch, absolutely amazing. My wife and I, vegetarians, loved our food just as much as our meat eating guests. Great service and a very attractive environment, can't fault it.
This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. The quality is always consistent and very good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and there is plenty of free parking available.
