My recent visit to Express Tavern was nothing short of a disaster. The staff's attitude and negligence were utterly appalling. Despite having communicated dietary restrictions in advance, it was clear that the staff was unprepared and confused. This resulted in a severe health issue for a member of our party who needed a gluten-free meal. What's more concerning is the dismissive attitude we encountered when we tried to address the issue with the staff. It was as if they couldn't care less about the problems they had caused. This level of apathy and unprofessionalism left a lasting impression. To make matters worse, we had to endure an excruciating wait of nearly an hour just to get a drink....

We loved this place. It looks and feels like an old fashioned traditional pub but the service is brilliant. The staff are Professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant. Natasha especially was excellent. The range of wines by the glass are good -including champagne and there is a great selection of keg and cask beers, least half a dozen of each. The bar nibbles are great and the food is good and very good value. At night with all the candles lit the atmosphere is lovely.
