This restaurant is the type of casually cool eatery you would expect to discover in a trendy Melbourne neighborhood. Situated away from the bustling shopping area of Surry Hills, it is a hidden gem in the community. Where else can you enjoy a full menu of hearty burgers for breakfast on the weekends? It's the perfect hangover cure. Make sure to visit on Sunday evenings for live music, a well-stocked bar, and a completely different atmosphere compared to their daytime offerings.
I ate at the Fern Food and Drink only because I live in a hostel around the corner. Food are Mediterranean-inspired dishes and are delicious. Understand the distinction though. It is not Mediterranean food but modern fusion food inspired with Mediterranean flavors. For a nice quiet meal in the dusk or a nice morning breakfast, they do serve great food. Service however is attended by young servers on working holidays and although friendly, are not very attentive or well-trained.
So good, have the chicken. Love that juicy style chicken. I would eat there again for sure. My wife loved it more than I did!!!
