"Thoroughly enjoyed my birthday dinner at this gorgeous pub this weekend :D My lamb was amazing and the accompaniements were delicious and well chosen. My husband particularly enjoyed his asparagus and hummous starter and my favourite bit was the white chocolate parfait I had for dessert. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back."

excellent meal at the five bells last night. high points were delicious British asparagus served with white beans hummus, hazelnuts and early bevel pesto followed by smoked lenders of dartmoor lamb with flammnessel gnocchi. only raised. a lemon posset with beautifully sharp berry-comonies and charling little button-shaped short brotbiscuits and a chocolate torte with caramel marscapone and a prline ice cream just over finish us! stunning montepulciano wein. great service of james and his colleagues. chic decoration sensitive to the old building and subtle relaxing music made for a beautiful, refined evening. we recommend our holiday homes and glamping space halsbeer farm and blackdown yurts...

we visited the beautiful five bells inn on a sunny Saturday afternoon and we loved everything about it. from the beautiful garden, via special menu to the hospitality of the owners james and charlie, the experience we had was exceptional. we have found that all ingredients are produced locally and that the menu changes daily, depending on what is currently available in the local environment. between us 4 we tasted asparagus, salmon, lemon, heke, lamb and a vegan special, all really delicious and very fresh! when they are in the opposite, I recommend that they pay this brilliant country pub a visit!

my friend and I visited the opposite on holiday and all said that this was the place to go. it wasn't disappointed. the personal was super fun and could not have been more friendly and welcoming, eating was cooked to perfection! and what we both liked and appreciate most was the fact that all foods were produced locally and they were listed exactly where it was. for us this was the cherry on an amazing pub. we will be 100% back to the opposite and the pub. many thanks to all that they make our last night so fantastic, really our vacation made!

we went to Sunday dinner today. a beautiful varied menu, friendly, attentive service and nice eating like an improvement of the previous owner. I was understandable if parts were small, but we were all filled and could never have managed the 3 courses! the staff was very helpful and served the meal of our daughter with the starters, and what a nice tasty for them in the position to have a dish from the menu, instead of a boring children's menu.
