Having visited this restaurant before and having enjoyed it, it was disappointing to see that things have gone downhill. We went for lunch and the restaurant was not busy. We were not greeted on arrival and were not offered drinks. After waiting for 40 minutes the (unsmiling)waitress finally came over and I had to ask for an extra menu so that we could all look at the same time. She then told us that all orders had to be placed at the bar, which was news to us. On ordering at the bar, we were incorrectly charged for 2 out of the 3 orders, so she had to ask for help to put this right. Just a big well done to the 2 new trainees who were working under difficult conditions on 1st June. A baptism of fire that’s for sure. They remained professional even though they were under massive pressure, dealing with some difficult customers. If they can cope with that they will make great waiting staff. Well done to the manager Hannah I think). She did her very best to appease everyone. Sometimes you have to take a deep breath as a customer and realise these guys don’t always have an easy time.
The restaurant concept is promising and the food is good, especially considering the price. However, there are a few areas for improvement. They advertised a blue light discount that was not honored, so it should be removed. The menus were dirty and incomplete, although they could easily be cleaned. Additionally, sitting at the back, there were a few conversations from staff that I would have preferred not to overhear.
We visited as a family for breakfast for our first visit and will definitely go again.the staff were very pleasant and patient with our young family member,the breakfast was amazing and coffee was lovely.some place’s arnt child friendly but this place was .looking forward to our second visit

Lovely atmosphere, the food is reasonably priced and you yet lunch deals, the only problem is that the coffee included in a lunch deal is instant, and for a ground coffee or latte you would need to pay extra. Also the breakfasts are lovely, small size was just right for me.
Not the cheapest but quality food in our fry ups, bacon,sausage,black pud,fried egg,mushroom,tomato,hash brown(properly cooked which is not often the case in cafes, beans, toast and a tea or coffee. All nicely done. Recommended.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant, but it definitely won't be my last. The food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the value for money was amazing. Thank you to all the staff!
Had a wonderful breakfast here. Served really quickly and Tracey was lovely. Really enjoyed ourselves with a great chilled out atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing quality food, far exceeds expectations for a cafe lunch. Beautiful venue with a social mission, a real gem in Middlesbrough.
My wife and I stopped at this restaurant for coffee and a snack and felt very comfortable. We both loved the atmosphere.
