I visited Fox and Hounds this lunchtime Thursday) with my Cousin. First impressions weren't the best the place looks very run down and if I had seen it before I went I wouldn't have even booked. I wanted the Belly Pork served with Apple Mash but was told they had no MASHED POTATO!, they ran out on Monday!.... really!! They had been closed Tuesday and Wednesday so why did they not have Mashed Potato on the Thursday? I asked what Curry it was and they said they didn't have any. Anyway I had the Belly Pork served with fries instead of Mash. Belly Pork was tough and the Red Cabbage had been murdered in the microwave, not nice at all. Happy to visit as newly re. opened, greeted by friendly staff and showed us to our table. tonight was fish night so fish chips and mushy peas/tartar sauce ordered, hubby had Thai fish cakes. Food. came in good. time and ordered alongside drinks from table or bar. Haddock was lovely so fresh and not dry, staff asked. us many times If all good and it was. `Food prices. very reasonable and. perfect size. . was nice to have music playing at not too loud. so we could talk, Nice atmosphere, Well enjoyed and will happily return.
Booked here for a party of 16. From start to finish the service of booking/ ordering was great. Staff in the pub where all friendly and pleasant. The food was out in quick time as we had booked, presentation was great, and the portions where huge! The food itself was tasty and we all ordered different things, to please 16 people isnt easy but everyone enjoyed their meals. The pricing is brilliant considering the portion sizes you get, even the kids meals where big. Will return in future for casual dining or get togethers!

Been here a few times, always fantastic food! This is our favourite pub! It may be a pub but the food is excellent! Never had a bad meal. I would highly recommend the chilli garlic chicken starter and the chicken gyros for main. Friendly staff and great with dogs. We've been as a family of 4 and the whole family of 15 and they have served us perfectly each time, food is always hot and great quality. Will definatley be returning.
Was excited to go sample the food after reopening. After being told the kitchen wasn’t fully open but some light meals could be offered we stayed . We shouldn’t have bothered it just all seemed like nobody knew what they was suppose to be doing . However I will give it the benefit of doubt and see if it was just teething problems and try again when they are up and running properly
Came for Sunday dinner Put on a table what was mucky and food all over the floor. Meal portion pathetic and small for how expensive the trio was. Complained to floor staff and didn’t seem to care or even show any ounce of wanting to try and help the situation. Apparently spoke to chef but didn’t seem interested either. Hospitality was non existent
Second visit since it reopened and will not be last. Superb food and really can't wait until they are serving a full menu! Great selection of drinks and a lovely atmosphere

We had a car breakdown nearby and I was stranded with my 2 elderly parents in very hot weather. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t have been kinder
