Gary is an extremely welcoming Barman and the beer may be a little pricey but it's by the river and not as expensive as some other closer locations. The really big draw for a lot of people is the dog friendliness of the pub, outside seating and general atmosphere.
One of the few good old fashion pubs with pool table, dart board and quiz machine (all you need now is the juke box! good quality Pipers crisp selection also! Bar girls (possibly Americans very helpful, fast and polite.
After a walk along the river stopped by a drink, with delicious biscuits served a nice cold storage and coffee. Great atmosphere with burning log fire. Friendly man who served us and great conversation. Come back in!
