Visited from Cardiff as Booked for a birthday meal. Decor is not up to much and it felt grubby.no atmosphere. Bar menu very limited on the black board behind the bar and the Al a Carte menu was given to us on a peice of paper was again very limited. Staff more interested in serving locals even though we had stood at bar for a good 5 mins before anyone else. Result being party of 4 walked out with no food no drink and we went else where.
The food is lovely and the pub is great but I was a little disappointed that the £28 sirloin only came with some chips and no salad or veg. It’s not cheap and some salad or other veg wouldn’t have gone amiss. Have to say the Sunday lunch is excellent. I would recommend the pub to anyone.
The Dirty Fox burger was legitimately the tastiest burger I’ve ever eaten. Halloumi fries were thick and crispy, not soggy. Great atmosphere. Great service. Top quality food at a good price. Highly recommended.

Went for a funeral wake. The buffet was delicious with a good selection of food on offer. The staff were all friendly, chatty and efficient.

"Popped in at 2.15 pm on a quiet Friday- asked very unfriendly landlady if we could play darts- she refused saying it is only for darts team to use and that tables were booked. Only table used was no where near the dart board."
