Small quaint little place. The owners and waitress seem to be great people and very welcoming. Good customer service seems to be hard to come by in NE Pa but not here. They were so lovely! For this alone, I would try them again. As for the food- we've been on the search for a good Gyro and Mediterranean food. The Gyros here are definitely delicious and authentic. The gyro salad is pretty good too. The only unfortunate part is personal taste. It's served with a greek olive salad dressing on the lettuce and our family doesn't like greek olives. The other let down for us was the baklava, but it may be another scenario of taste preference. It has some oil maybe rose oil?! on/in it that we aren't...
I was looking for something to grab to eat and came across this restaurant. I called in my order of a chicken wrap and chicken platter. When I arrived I had to find parking on the street. When I walked in I was greeted and waiting my turn in this small, cute cafe. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I dug in the food was good. The only thing I could of done without is the chips in the platter and the pickled cabbage in the wrap. All in all I had a good experience.
Absolutely love this place. We all know Scranton is severely lacking in cultural culinary diversity, but The Garden comes running to the rescue. The hummus and rice bowls are out of this world. Please take a break from eating pizza, burgers, and wing bites and come visit The Garden for some real food!! Your stomach will thank you. Try the Turkish hummus!
So happy The garden is back! The food is top notch and the staff is so beautiful. My guest and I share the garden top that is enormous and so good. And surely go space for chocolate baklava
