Overall the food was average. The burgers were big but you pay a premium for fries. I would prefer if they just raise the price and make french fries the standard. The item included is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed prawns which didn't have much flavor. I could tell I ate prawns and crabs but there wasn't much flavor. The serving consisted of four stuffed prawns. However, the prawns were of the medium variety I would buy at my local market. They were torn apart with a tablespoon-sized crab ball. Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water.
Nice enough restaurant, but way too noisy. Food very good but not outstanding. I'd flagged our group as celebrating a birthday (my grandson's 19th), but the waiter told us they didn't do anything for special occasions -- a disappointment since the question was asked when I made the reservation through Open Table. A bit on the expensive side, but I suppose that's to be expected on a warm summer weekend night.
We were in town to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. Party of 6. I had asked for a nice lookout table but unfortunately they couldn't accommodate as it was a prom weekend - got it. 2 dinners with scallops, 1 fried shrimp, 1 stuffed stone fish, 1 stuffed shrimp and 1 cedar salmon. Even though it was Mother's Day, our table was ready, the service was good, and the food was at the right temperature. We were happy that The Lighthouse is now under Open Table for reservations.
Everything about this place is amazing. Great view, great food, great service. I will definitely be going back again, and again!
Much better experience than times before. Definitely going to miss this place when I leave.
