Other two pubs in Hook Norton that were recommended to us were fully booked on the night we discovered The Gate Hangs High. Amazing quality food and drink at very good prices, it's no surprise people rate this place so highly. It's definitely worth a visit if you like an old school traditional pub ! This is a wonderful spot for camping! There's a small, quiet field next to the pub that feels quite secluded. The pub garden is delightful. While the food could use some improvement, it was still acceptable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I'd rate the service a 5 and the location a 5!
