This is a charming country pub. I stopped by for brunch and was warmly welcomed by Louisa, who brought me a drink as soon as I made my choice. I ordered the fried beef noodles, which were fantastic, along with the loaded fries—I was definitely in the mood for a hearty meal that day. The portion of loaded fries was substantial enough for two and they were delicious. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and very attentive when needed. I can't wait for my next visit! Service: Dine-in.

The restaurant boasts a diverse menu, delicious food, and outstanding service. Although the pub was fully booked, our meals arrived promptly, showcasing great efficiency. It’s a charming venue, filled with cozy nooks and crannies. However, we found the labeling for the restrooms a bit confusing, as it took us some time to realize that "Gulls" indicated the female restroom. Other than that minor issue, we have no complaints and will definitely be back. Meal type: Lunch.

Visited on 4th Dec in a party of 19 and thought it would be run or the mill pub food but no, large man size portions well cooked and very tasty. I had the steak and ale pie with tons of veg and lovely roast potatoes. We were supplied with extra gravy with was nice and over all the service was excellent. Pub has a great menu and the portions are large. Good range of beers and ales and great atmosphere. Will definitely visit here again, well done to all the staff there. Book a table now

the george is located in the beautiful village trottiscliffe sat the intersection of 3 streets with a small green front. it is an attractive building with a good selection of beer and many tables outside and in. the personal was great. my only grip was that the ham was thin and quite tasteless when I hoped that home cooked gammon, apart from the fact that the salat and chips were great.

If you're looking for a delicious Sunday roast in a traditional and welcoming village pub, look no further than The George. We were served by Chris, who made sure we were well taken care of and even remembered us from a previous visit, making us feel even more at home. This is our go-to spot for a fantastic Sunday dinner, but be sure to book online quickly, as it's quite popular!

We took a lunch break at 2 PM during our round hike, and I had read the reviews beforehand. I agree with others that the portions are huge. We shared a single serving of sweet potato chips among three adults. The service was great, and the lunch and beer were both excellent. I will definitely be back! Book a table now

We absolutely love this place and visit whenever we can. It's wonderful to see the new seating in the open areas. There’s also a large playground for young kids to explore and play. The food is fantastic!
