on Thursday is a call for lunch. Greeting was pleasant and efficient and we were sitting fast. service was also pleasant when a little slow (they were not busy) and eating was very nice, hot and good portion sizes obviously all cooked home to order as well. not the cheapest, but still good value. will I have come back? Yes, next time can try an dinner. it is worth a try if they have not been before/for one.

Lovely Sunday lunch at the George. The food is always consistently good. The only downside was that the pub was packed and we were seated in the bar area which was very noisy and no privacy. We asked to be seated at another table and once one became available we moved much better. We will know in future to request a table in the restaurant

Wonderful country pub, full of character and charm and incredible food and drink. The portions are so generous and the menu is extensive, with options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Lovely staff Leah and the team were so attentive and friendly, never rushed us and always had a smile on their faces. Would highly recommend!

I had a fantastic birthday celebration for my friend, and we were able to bring my little dog along, which was a nice touch. The food was excellent, and the service from the staff was exceptional. I highly recommend this place!
