Very dark and disappointed that conservatory closed. Food took a while and very disappointed. Pakora was overcooked hard and dry. Tattie scone nachos awful. Scone burnt, sauce and cheese very sparse with haggis on top Tasteless. Fish and chips fresh and nice. Only half a fish as off the specials menu. Kids fish and chips nor much smaller. Would be better off with two of them. Chicken wrap very poor. Soggy salt and pepper coating. Service was pleasant. Didn't complain at the time as my husband will not complain . Very disappointed as family lunch and been before so we're looking forward to an alfresco lunch with our daughters. Side balcony was an option but very shaded with overhanging trees....
A big disappointment. A twice to three times a year visit for great food is likely to be a thing of the past. All diners in the public bar where the smell of smoke and dampness are very noticeable. Conservatory/restaurant area closed. New owners reportedly. A lot to do to get this place back at the standard it once was. The staff were very pleasant and they are exempt of any criticism.
Can safely say... Best pub style fish and chips I've had in years, the hand cut chips are hand cuts and the fish was beautiful ... nae bones yes I know they're to be expected on occasion but most folk just don't care enough to debone properly and it shows) nae picture of the food coz I ate it, happy tummies.
Went to the Glen Lusset for a funeral tea Great selection of options for funeral teas First class service and food. All staff friendly and helpful nothing was a bother Food was first class and all very reasonably priced Highly recommended Book a table now
Great food all freshly made dishes to order. Good selection of Gluten free and vegan. Good size portions and also do a small plates menu.
Dropped in for lunch. Food was excellent and the service was great too. Great food at decent prices....what's not to like?
Always good value for money. Nice big portions and food is always tasty. Hope they bring back the beef chilli noodles.
