This is Norfolk 's outstanding gem...!!! Quite literally stumbled upon whilst taking a wrong turn, my friend and I decided to have a meal there. Warmly greeted and shown to our table we looked through the wonderful menu. It was an excellent selection full of temptations. I chose steak whilst my friend went with a burger. Both arrived and looked gorgeous, the steak was perfectly cooked and the delicious chips had delightfully fluffy centres. My friends burger beat her, it was a huge portion and even I couldn 't finish off all her fries to help. Midweek we paid another visit in the evening and this time I tried their rather excellent beef lasagne, but this time I allowed myself to indulge in d...

Having been three times here previously whilst on holiday at Hemsby, I decided to bring my Mum here to show her what I had been raving about and how good the food is here... I had the 8oz rump steak I had loved the first time I came here, beautifully cooked as specified and served with large chunky chips, crispy outside but deliciously fluffy in the centre, my Mum took on the steak kidney pie, served with vegetables which she did very well with until the sheer size of the meal defeated her never let it be said The Goat Inn serves small portions, this pie was huge (see pictures). For dessert Mum had what she said was some of the best strawberry ice cream she has ever had whilst I had the stic...

This out-of-the-way country pub is a little gem and well worth seeking out. I cannot fault it in any way at all. I thought I had got the last car parking space in front of the pub, but, on getting out of the car, found that there were loads more spaces round at the side! The staff were exceptional and amongst the best pub staff I have encountered. Service was neither rushed nor slow.....just right, and all with a smile. Food was of very high quality and not over-priced. I have a hearty appetite and I was not disappointed with the portions! If you are in the Coltishall region, this place is a must to visit. We will certainly be back.

Went for lunch I had steak and kidney suet pudding although it was very delicious I could only eat half of it and I have a good appetite it was the same size as a quiche I buy for the two of us I didn't touch the chips so had a doggy bag my husband had the pulled pork burger he was going to have a pudding but couldn't as he was so full. The staff were lovely we will be back, but will check the portions excellent value Book a table now

Lovely food. The squid starter with chorizo was genius and so were the beef nachos . We were both beaten by the huge mains. The ribs were so tender I ate them with a knife and fork. Everything was presented well and hot. My only disappointment was they had run out of rhubarb and custard Eton mess which I was wanted to try. Never mind we will have to return next time we are in the area.

It was a works night out with about 10 of us in total. The variety on the menu was good enough to keep us all happy and the service, while leisurely, was friendly and accommodating. The food was great, the Tomahawk Steak was brilliant and the Rhubarb Eton Mess yummy. There's a lot of good Gastro Pubs in the area but the Goat is a hidden gem worth seeking out.

We were recommended the Goat Inn when we were out walking out dog and again by a pub called the Rising Sun. How right they were. The pub is listed and full of original beams. when you go in you are welcomed and feel immediately at home. We found the staff to be great with knowledge of what the menu was then the food WOW.!

Very welcoming and dog friendly. The food was excellent and service good. The staff were very friendly towards both the wife and I, but also our dog. Menu had a good choice with several dishes outside the normal pub classics , which these days can be difficult to find. Highly recommended. Book a table now

Enjoyed a Friday evening meal here. There was a beer and cider festival happening but the quality food and service were not affected. We got to sample some new ciders after. As our first visit, if I lived locally I would be back l again soon.
