Unfortunately this isnt a great review on this occassion. Me and my family usually really enjoy coming here for dinner the food has always been good quality and value for money. TBH last night was not great they had live music on and as we were beside a speaker it was almost deafining but we understand it was live music so no real complaints there. The food was ordered all 5 steaks were cooked well done 4 were requested medium and one medium rare so all 5 were wrong. I’d heard about food being good here, but never gave it much credence. How wrong I was!! Booked a table for Saturday evening and quickly seated and drinks ordered. Lovely big stove giving out lots of heat, nice atmosphere with not too loud background music.. then the FOOD. Yummmm. I’d the steak sandwich £10) and the boss had a burger. Both were excellent and served with lovely sides of chips, salad and onions. I’ve had similar meals or worse for twice that price at other local restaurants so they don’t cut corners. Our waitress, Darcy, was great too and served us with a smile. We’re an older couple, but felt completely at ease as everyone was so friendly. We will most DEFINITELY be back.
I visited The Goats Toe on Saturday, May 26th. The restaurant was busy due to the bank holiday weekend, but the service was excellent and quick considering how busy it was. I decided to go with the meat platter from the 13 menu, which was only £19 and great value for money. I would definitely recommend people to try it, as it is enough food for two. I also tried the lasagne, which was delicious. I had avoided this restaurant in the past due to bad experiences, but now I will be back within the next week or two. I will also be telling others about my great experience. Thank you again to the team at The Goats Toe for the excellent service.
I booked for party of 6 on Friday evening. We got lovely table by the fire. All our meals was fantastic. Probably the best steak sandwich ive had in a while. My sister also had steak sandwich and rest of party had battered fish. The batter was really light and great portion. Cld not fault anything. Wld highly recommend you try this place for good quality food and service.

I decided to have a late lunch at Goats Toe, as I hadn't been there in a few months. The atmosphere was lively with a cozy coal fire burning. I was seated promptly and our drink and food orders were taken quickly. We ordered three steak sandwiches, each served with delicious pepper sauce, onion rings, and a side. Everything was perfect and I can't wait to return.
sorry for late review visited here feb last year we was staying Bangor for a few nights we loved this place we visited twice lovely food massive portions the hot dog delicious staff were very friendly especially to our kids we can’t wait to visit again thanks for a lovely afternoon
The food and service at this restaurant are absolutely fantastic! The venue has a great atmosphere and vibe. There are numerous vegan options available as well as delicious cocktails. It is the perfect spot for a romantic date night downstairs or for drinks on the rooftop.
Strange I've never wrote a review! Lunch was £10 now £13 but don't be put of by that as it's still good value. Multi choice though my favourite is the steak sandwich. Comes with nice chips, battered onion rings and gravey or peppered sauce. Recommended.

Great wee spot! So glad we found it, hidden away off Bangors Main Street. Nice vibe, lovely staff good value and delicious burgers.
